Stunning UK Yoga Weekend in North Yorkshire

Escape to the peace and tranquility of this lovely grade II listed Historic House (HHA),  for a wonderfully rejuvenating and replenishing early Autumnal yoga weekend in the UK with Jeff Phenix.   Set in 160 acres of gardens and private land, nestled in the foothills of the magnificent North Yorshire Dales - this beautiful venue offers a peaceful rural setting perfect to deepen your understanding of yoga and meditation, nurture your body with fresh and delicious vegetarian food, enjoy gorgeous country walks or indulge yourself with a massage.  
By taking time out of your everyday life you can leave feeling recharged, reconnected and able to interact with the world in a more balanced and loving way. 



The Venue 

The location for this retreat is a stunning family owned grade II* Historic House built in the Queen Anne style in 1703 and is known locally as 'the secret gem of Wensleydale.'  With both beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, lovely light and airy yoga areas, an indoor heated pool, a fire pit, listed Victorian walled garden and  surrounded by stunning private parkland, gardens, farmlands and woods -  this offers a perfect space to escape from the rigours of every day life. 
The Yoga 
Over the course of this yoga weekend Jeff will guide you through 4 meditation sessions and 4 yoga practices.
The  morning yoga practices will be a dynamic, creative, playful and explorative ‘deep slow flow’ asana practice and will also include meditation and pranayama.  By emphasizing the breath, mindfulness & skillful action and building up through a range of appropriate options – students, from the less experienced to the more advanced, will discover how to work peacefully at the level appropriate to them.
The afternoon yoga sessions will be a mellower, soothing and nurturing practice, delving into areas such as yin yoga, restoratives, pranayama, chakras, yoga nidra and meditation.  This will totally bliss you out!

Jeff has lots of experience teaching students of all levels. His depth of understanding, playful approach, ability to challenge students to safely explore their edge and his love of pranayama & meditation will give you the perfect opportunity to deepen your practice both physically and internally





Things to do 

Between yoga sessions and mealtimes, you are free to do as you wish.   There is time to relax by an open fire with a book in one of the comfortable lounges,  chat with new friends, go for a swim, enjoy the lovely grounds,  take a walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside or if you prefer just find time be to be on your own and relax.
Massages can also be arranged. 


In the main house there are six very comfortable twin rooms with shared bathrooms (one bathroom for every two rooms).  

There are also several exceptionally stunning ensuite cottages in the grounds if you would like to treat yourself.

Limited single options are available, come with a friend and share or we can pair you with another person of the same sex who is also coming on their own.




You will be served three nutritious meals a day, cooked lovingly by our retreat chef. The food will be delicious, healthy and vegetarian with gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Main House

  • £475 - Twin room sharing
  • £575 - Twin room  single occupancy
  • £495 - Superior twin room sharing
  • £595  - Superior twin room single occupancy

The Superior rooms are larger and some will have better views.   I will do my best to offer your preference but this may not be possible when putting people together to share who are coming on their own.

All bathrooms are shared.  Approximately one bathroom to every 2 rooms.

Luxury Double Ensuite Cottages 

  • £595 -  Double/Twin Ensuite sharing
  • £695  - Double Ensuite  single occupancy

There are several cottages on the grounds that are of an exceptionally high standard.  You can see more details and pictures here

Most cottages have  a double bed, but when twin beds they are very close together so only suitable for sharing with partner or good friend.   If you are coming on your own book as a single. 



An  deposit of £200 is required to confirm your space or you can choose to pay the full amount if you wish.

The balance is due 6 weeks before the retreat  on 10 September 2021.
